Round 2 of the Richard Emmerick Shield! Come for a day of fun and friendly Club competition! Schedule of events (all times approximate) is arranged so you can compete in multiple weapons and age divisions. MFC members only (your membership must be current to be able to register) Age policy All competitors must be aged 10+ years at 1 January 2021 For U14 events, competitors must be aged under 14 years at 1 January 2021 For masters/veterans, competitors must be aged at least 35 years at 1 January 2021 Registration Please register by selecting a ticket for EACH event you want to compete in. Registration closes 11.59pm on Thursday 17 June 2021. No late entries are possible after registration closes. If you turn up on the day without having registered you won't be able to fence, but we'll be grateful for your help refereeing and generally helping to run the day. Fundraising tickets ($5, $10, $20) are also available – buy as many as you like! Each fundraising ticket will come with a complimentary club patch and all money raised will go towards covering the expenses associated with holding the competition (sausage sizzle, hall booking, medals etc) and to buying armoury supplies to repair gear. NB masters/veterans will be combined with the open events and medals will be awarded in both the masters/veterans and open categories. If there are insufficient entries to run separate gendered events, with the consent of the participants the events will be combined. All training and events at the Club are run as per the Club's COVIDSafe training plan. Please review this to ensure you comply with the requirements.

Have a Stab – for new and returning adult fencers   >>> 7.15–8.30pm each Thursday in September <<< Always wanted to try fencing but haven't yet given it a go? Fenced when you were younger and like to get back to it? Have kids who fence and want to know that they're so excited about? Covid making you feel like stabbing something (safely, of course)? Have a Stab is for you!   Working with the Club's head coach (also a coach on the Australian Olympic team for Tokyo 2020) you'll get to grips with the basics of foil and epee fencing in a fun and friendly environment. At the end of the program you'll have all the skills you need to start training with the Club if you want to. Suitable for all skills levels, ages 18+, all gear provided. Wear long pants, closed shoes and bring a water bottle. If you have you own fencing gear (weapons, mask, protective gear) please bring that too.   Free entry for Mountains Fencing Club members (if you're an adult contact of one of the Club's under 18 members in the Club's admin system, you're a member too, so you can come for free!) $40 for others (which provides access to all four sessions over the four weeks)   Limited numbers – to keep within venue limits, tickets are essential for ALL participants, INCLUDING for current members. Entry is subject to participants abiding by the Club's code of conduct and COVIDSafe training guidelines.

SwordSkills – school holiday fencing for high school >>> 1pm–3pm Tuesday and Thursday of the school holidays <<< Come along to four great afternoons of fencing fun! Suitable for all skills levels, including those new to fencing, and ages from school years 7-12. Typical session ful size metal weapons (modified for junior high school) theory, warm up, drills, fencing fun introduction to structured bouting All participants should wear long pants, closed shoes and bring a water bottle. No food will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own. If participants have their own fencing gear (weapons, mask, protective gear) they are encouraged to bring that along. Free entry for Mountains Fencing Club members – registration is essential for all participants. $20 for others which provides access to all four sessions over the two weeks
